Academic Teaching Experience:

 

Wide range of teaching experience. I have been teaching

 

  • all main courses for students in theology (about 1200 at our faculty) in Philosophical Ethics (two semesters / two hours, undergraduate level), Modernity, Ethics and Catholic Social Thought (one semester / two hours, graduate level), and Political and Economic Ethics (one semester / two hours, graduate level)

 

  • Seminars (mainly graduate level) on a wide range of topics, mainly on political, economic and ecological ethics in an interreligious and ecumenical contexts (e.g. ethics of human rights, democracy, international development, peace ethics and reconciliation, but also on secularization, fundamentalism, interreligious dialogue and ethics in ecumenical dialogue); also in interdisciplinary cooperation mainly with the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences.

 

  • Research seminars for graduate including many PHD students. At present there are about ten students from Austria, Croatia. Rumania, Ivory Coast, Zambia, Congo and South Corea doing their PhD in the field of Social Ethics.

 

  • Wide range of experience in non-academic teaching - courses on applied ethics for different groups and organizations from business executives (for whom I designed a programme “Ethics and Spirituality”), to women, teachers and Church organizations.

 

  • Courses taught at the Vienna Christian-Muslim Summer University-(2006, 2008; 2010) on Basic Christianity for Muslims and Justice in the Contemporary World.

 

 

Academic Functions:

 

I held a wide range of academic functions and served on as well as headed many commissions:

Involvement in Interreligious and Ecumenical Dialogue:

Interreligious Dialogue (main activities):

 

  • Initiator and now Co-Director of the Vienna Christian Muslim-Christian Summer University which was held in St. Gabriel/Mödling in 2006; and in 2008 and 2010 in Stift Altenburg, Austria: three weeks official summer course of the University of Vienna focusing on ethics, law and religions in which about fifty students from all over the world participate with teachers from Austria, Morocco. Lebanon, India, Pakistan, Bosnia; (funded by the Austrian Ministry of Science and Education), cf. vicisu.com; at present we are developing the Network for a Better World for better communication among the alumni.

 

  • International Network on Promoting Female Leadership in Intercultural and Interreligious Dialogue, Trialogue organized in Vienna, 24 – 26 June 2010; next conference will be held in June 2012 (with the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

 

  • Participation and papers presented at Austrian-Indonesian Conferences in 2009 and 2011 (programme to be continued).

 

  • Member of the Steering Committee of the Vienna Christian-Muslim Round Table (Vicirota) between 2001-2008.
