Wirtschaftsethik

Economic ethics refers to the ethical examination of economic structures and systems. Economic questions are of crucial importance for issues of justice. Therefore, economic ethics is an important research field in social ethics. The social ethics research on economics focuses on considerations regarding the fair design of the market economy, such as the principle of the common good or under the concept of the "eco-social market economy." Additionally, current challenges like climate change and demographic change, and their economic impacts, play an important role (cf. Kruip 2022, 261ff.).
