In the winter semester of 2024, the following courses will be offered in the Department of Social Ethics by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Alexander Filipović:
The lecture is the first part of the two-part lecture series on “Social Doctrine” (Christian Social Ethics). It focuses on historical and magisterial aspects in the area of fundamental social ethics and presents the social principles in the area of normative orientations. In the context of Christian social ethics, the focus is on ecology and culture. Topics of social ethics that are likely to be covered include work, social security, lifestyles, church, and climate change.
VO Communication and Media Ethics
It first provides basic knowledge in the field of (philosophical, applied) ethics. The focus then shifts to ethical challenges in journalism, strategic communication, media entertainment, image ethics, and other areas of the media field. Research results from journalism and communication studies are also frequently referenced.
The lecture is part of the EC Communication and Media Ethics.
