Network "Media Ethics"
The network consists of 6 universities, led by the network coordinator doc. Mgr. et Mgr., ThLic. Th.D. Jaroslav Franc at Palacký University in Olomouc (Faculty of Theology).
The network was established at the same time as the launch of the study programme Ethics and Culture in Media Communication (2020) at Palacký University in Olomouc. The programme is based on the need to prepare experts in ethical communication for the labour market. Despite the pandemic in Europe, cooperation between the partner universities took place in the course of online lectures and short guest visits. Through CEEPUS funding, the network hopes to increase exchange and collaboration.
The network is aimed at students (BA, MA, PhD) and teachers and would like to use the opportunity of short-term mobility to exchange knowledge, methods and processes on the topic of media ethics and to develop future collaborations.
The aims of the network are therefore:
- Building and deepening relationships between participating institutions.
- Exchange theoretical and practical knowledge and methods in the field of media ethics between participating institutions, students and teachers
- Increasing the motivation of students and teachers and improving their language skills in order to realise their potential
- Developing further cooperation as well as knowledge exchange and joint research activities in the field of media ethics
- Harmonising curricula and developing joint study programmes that can contribute to media ethics.
However, the most important achievement for us is the development of relationships with the participating institutions for future cooperation, research and the development of joint study programmes.
